Data Deletion Instructions

You can delete your ViralDM account and all associated data at any time. This page explains every way to do it, including data we received from Meta (Instagram / Facebook).

Quick summary: Delete your account from the in-app Privacy Dashboard, or email us. Your data — including Instagram/Facebook data — is permanently erased within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep (payment and tax records, security logs, and the record of consent and of the deletion itself). Encrypted backups expire on their own within 90 days.

1. Delete Your Account In-App (fastest)

In the Android app — from version 1.1.0:

Open More → Settings
Tap Delete account under Account
Confirm by typing your email address

On the web:

Log in at viraldm.app/auth/login
Go to Dashboard → Privacy & Security (Privacy Dashboard)
Click Delete Account and confirm by typing your email

Your account is scheduled for deletion immediately. Your data is permanently erased within 30 days, except the records we must keep by law (payment and tax records, security and audit logs, and the record of consent and of the deletion itself). Encrypted database backups made before that are not edited; they are used only for disaster recovery and are deleted automatically after at most 90 days. Deletion cannot be undone: the account is signed out and disabled at once, and a daily job erases its data once the 30 days are up.

2. Request Deletion by Email

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

If you want to remove your connected social accounts (and the data we received from Meta) without deleting your whole account:

Log in and go to Dashboard → Accounts
Click Disconnect on the Instagram or Facebook account

Disconnecting removes the stored access tokens. You can additionally remove ViralDM's access from Meta's side at Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations or Instagram → Apps and Websites.

4. What Gets Deleted

Account information (name, email, password hash, profile picture)
Connected social account data and access tokens
Subscribers, conversations, and message history
Automations, broadcasts, sequences, and scheduled posts
Uploaded media and custom fields

We retain only what the law requires us to keep (e.g. invoices and transaction records for tax purposes), as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Export Before You Delete
