How ViralDM fits together

From a DM to your other apps

People reach you on Instagram and on your ViralDM pages. ViralDM answers, saves what matters, and tells the apps you connected. Some apps also send things in.

1 · People reach you

A comment, story reply or DM on Instagram or Facebook
Your bio page and its lead form
Your store and e-books
Your booking page and forms

2 · ViralDM does the work

Your automations reply in the DM — keywords, AI replies, Flow Builder
A lead, booking, order or payment is saved in ViralDM
It becomes an event: lead.captured, bio.lead, form.submitted, booking.created, order.paid, payment.received
Or an automation step sends this person to one connector you picked

3 · Out to your apps

Or your own webhook: Make, Pabbly, n8n, your server

Coming in

Any other app, through your generic incoming URL

ViralDM receives it

Razorpay and Shopify call your private ViralDM webhook URL ("My Webhook URLs" on Connectors)
A Calendly booking becomes booking.created
Shopify also gives your AI Agents live stock and order status inside the DM

Passed on

To the same connectors and webhooks as above — so a Razorpay payment or a Calendly booking can ping your Telegram or land in your sheet
See what happened. On the Connectors page, open the connector: it shows how many events were sent, when the last one went, how many failed, and the reason for the last failure. Your browser Meta Pixel and the Conversions API work side by side: see the Meta Pixel guide.

The events

What makes ViralDM send something

Each event carries what ViralDM knows about the person: name, Instagram username, email, phone, platform, a short message and, for sales, the amount in rupees. Anything not known is left out. Ordinary DMs are not sent to your connectors.

Flow Builder steps. automation.step goes only to the connector the step names (or all of them), never to webhooks or the Conversions API. The six business events go to every connector you connected and to every webhook that ticked them.

Every connector

Pick the app you want to connect

Same groups as the Connectors page in ViralDM. Each guide says which way the data goes, how to connect in one click, and where to find every key if you paste one.

Words you will see

Four words, explained once

One click

You press Connect, sign in on the other app's own page and press Allow. Nothing to copy. The other app decides what ViralDM may do, and you can remove it there any time.

Key or token

A long secret code from the other app that lets ViralDM act for you. Paste it only into ViralDM, never into a chat or a DM.

Webhook

A webhook is a web address (URL) that one app calls the moment something happens, so the other app hears about it instantly.

Event. One thing that happened — a new lead, a booking, a sale — sent as one small message to your apps.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Something missing? Ask us

What is a webhook?

A webhook is a web address (URL) that one app calls the moment something happens, so the other app hears about it instantly.

Does every DM go to my connectors?

No. Only the six business events — a new lead, a bio page lead, a form answer, a booking, a paid order and a DM payment — plus the Flow Builder steps you add yourself. Ordinary DMs stay in your inbox.

Do connectors cost extra?

No. Connectors and outgoing webhooks are part of every ViralDM plan, including Free. A few apps need a paid plan on their side — Calendly for booking notices, and Zapier for its webhook trigger.

Are my keys safe?

Keys and tokens you connect are stored encrypted and are never shown back in your browser. One-click connections only ask the other app for the access they need, for example "create Leads" in Zoho CRM.

What happens if a connected app is down?

ViralDM tries once and moves on, so your DMs are never slowed down. The failure and its reason show on that connector in ViralDM; the next good send clears it.

How do I stop sending to an app?

Open Connectors in ViralDM, open the connector and press Disconnect.
