Connect Airtable to ViralDM
Every new lead, booking and sale from ViralDM becomes a record in your Airtable table.
- Direction
- ViralDM → app
- Data flow
- ViralDM → Airtable
- How to connect
- One click (or a personal access token)
- Updated
- 18 October 2026
How it works
You choose one base and one table. Each event creates one record.
ViralDM fills the columns it finds by name: Name (or Full name), Email, Phone (or Mobile), Type (or Event), Message (or Notes), Platform, Amount (or Value) and Date (or Timestamp). Columns it does not know are left alone.
Formula, lookup and other computed columns are skipped.
What goes across
- All six business events.
- Records from the Flow Builder step "Send to a connector".
One click
Connect Airtable in one click
- In Airtable, make sure your table has at least one of the columns listed above, for example Name and Email.
- In ViralDM open Connectors and press Connect on Airtable.
- On Airtable's page, add the base you want to use and press Grant access.
- Back in ViralDM, choose the base, then the table, and press Save.
- Press 🧪 Test. A test record appears.
The other way
Paste a personal access token instead
If one-click connect is not available, create a personal access token in Airtable and paste three values.
Personal Access Token
- In Airtable open the developer hub at airtable.com/create/tokens and press Create token. Give it a name.
- Add the scope data.records:write (that is the one ViralDM needs to add records).
- Under Access, add the base you want ViralDM to write to.
- Create the token and copy it right away. It starts with "pat" and Airtable shows it only once.
Base ID
- Open the base in your browser.
- The address looks like airtable.com/appXXXXXXXX/tblYYYY… — the Base ID is the part that starts with "app".
Table Name
- Type the table's name exactly as it appears on its tab, for example Subscribers.
With a pasted token the table needs these columns: Name, Email, Event and Timestamp (Text or Date). Names must match exactly.
After connecting
Check it works
- Press 🧪 Test on the connector in ViralDM. It sends one test event, so you can see it arrive before a real lead does.
- On the Connectors page, open the connector: it shows how many events were sent, when the last one went, how many failed, and the reason for the last failure.
- You can also send a person to this connector from inside an automation: in the Flow Builder add the step "Send to a connector" and pick it. The step does nothing if the connector is not connected.
"No matching columns … in that Airtable table".
Rename a column to one of Name, Email, Phone, Type, Message, Platform, Amount or Date, or pick another table.
"That base is not shared with ViralDM".
Disconnect, press Connect again and add the base on Airtable's page.
Pasted token: "Airtable answered HTTP 422".
A column is missing or has a different name. The pasted-token path needs Name, Email, Event and Timestamp.
