You have seen it happen. Somebody comments "info" or "price please", and there is no time to reply. By the time you do, that customer is somewhere else. That is the gap DM automation fills.
Below are ten DM scripts Indian creators use every day. Each one is short, points at a single action, and works in Hindi, Hinglish and English. Paste them into ViralDM (or any automation tool) and watch what happens to your DM-to-sale rate.
1. The link drop (most used)
Trigger: "LINK", "PRICE", "INFO"
DM: "Hi {{name}}! Here are the full details 👉 [your-link.com/product]
Use code WELCOME10 for 10% off — valid for 24 hours."
Why it works: a deadline, their name, and exactly one thing to do.
2. The email capture
Trigger: a comment on your lead-magnet post
DM: "Hey! Send me your email and I’ll send over the free [guide name]."
When they reply with an email, your email sequence takes over from there.
3. The soft CTA (for coaches)
DM: "Hi {{name}}! You asked — yes, I do run 1-on-1 sessions. Details here: [link]. Ask me anything, I reply personally."
4. The coupon drop
DM: "Your code: VDM30 — 30% off, 48 hours only. Apply at checkout: [your-store.com]"
In Coupons you can generate unique codes, so every person gets their own rather than one code that ends up screenshotted everywhere.
5. The question hook
DM: "Thanks for commenting! Quick question — what are you struggling with most in [niche]? I can send two or three suggestions."
Good for high-ticket consulting, where the conversation matters more than the link.
6. The re-engagement DM
Trigger: no engagement in 30 days
DM: "Hey {{name}}! I noticed you’ve been reading but not writing. All good? Tell me what you want covered and I’ll make it."
7. The social proof DM
DM: "Hi {{name}}! Twenty-three people started this program last month and nineteen finished 30 days. Details: [link]"
Use your own real numbers here. A made-up number is the fastest way to lose the sale when somebody checks.
8. The story-mention auto-reply
Trigger: somebody tags you in their story
DM: "Thank you so much for sharing! Here’s a small thank-you — code FAN20 for 20% off anything in the store."
9. The multilingual auto-detect
The reply goes out in the language the comment arrived in. When a Tamil comment comes in:
DM (Tamil): "வணக்கம்! உங்கள் ஆர்வத்திற்கு நன்றி. Link இங்கே 👉 [link.com]"
10. The cart-abandonment rescue
Trigger: Shopify cart abandoned (via the integration)
DM: "Hi {{name}}! You left something in your cart — still thinking? Here is 10% off: BACK10. Cart: [link]"
How to use these in ViralDM
- Open your dashboard
- Go to DM Templates
- Press "+ New Template" and paste any script above
- Pick the language
- Save, and use it in any automation
Four things that matter more than the wording
- Use their name. A named reply reads less like a broadcast.
- End on a question. Without one, the conversation stops and the 24-hour window closes.
- Test two versions. The built-in A/B test settles it in a few days.
- Match the language the person wrote in, rather than defaulting to English.
