All of growth comes down to two questions: what worked? and what do I do about the thing that worked? Most people hunt for the first answer inside the Instagram app and forget to answer the second one at all.
Insights: straight from Instagram
Followers, reach, profile views, accounts engaged, likes, comments, saves, shares and net follows — over 7 or 28 days. And underneath, your top posts by reach.
That picture tells you what to make next. And putting an automation on the post at the top is the cheapest work available — the audience is already there.
Comments: the place to answer
Comments on any of your own posts, in one panel. There are four things you can do, and all four show up on Instagram within seconds:
- Reply — a public answer under the comment.
- Hide — the person who wrote it still sees it, nobody else does. The cleanest way to avoid a fight.
- Unhide — bring it back.
- Delete — remove it permanently.
A ten-minute daily routine
- Open Insights, look at the top post.
- Open that post's comments. Reply personally to the ones with questions — automation handles the rest.
- Hide the spam. Delete only when something genuinely offensive was written.
- Whatever question keeps coming back, turn it into a new automation.
The fourth step pays the most: one new keyword a week, and three months later your top ten questions answer themselves.
