Share the QR code, keep the link as a backup
Some UPI apps decline a person-to-person payment opened from a tapped upi:// link, citing their risk policy. The same details scanned as a QR code, or your UPI ID typed into the app, go through. So send the QR code first and the link only as a fallback.
What this QR code is
A standard upi://pay link for your own UPI ID, drawn as a QR code: the same kind your UPI app shows under “receive money”. The money goes straight from the payer’s bank to yours. It is not a merchant QR, so it comes with no payment reports.
How to use it
Three steps
Enter your UPI ID
The one your UPI app shows, like yourname@okhdfcbank. Add the name to show and, if you like, an amount and a note.
Check it
Scan the QR with your own UPI app before you share it. The app shows the name your bank has for that UPI ID.
Download or copy
Save a printable PNG card or a plain SVG, or copy the upi:// link to send as a backup.

Is this UPI QR code generator free?
Yes. No login, no limit and no fee. The QR code is made in your browser, so what you type is not sent to ViralDM or stored anywhere.
Will the payer see the name I typed?
Most UPI apps show the name registered with the bank for your UPI ID, not the name typed here. Scan the QR with your own UPI app before you print it, and check that the name and UPI ID it shows are right.
Why does tapping the upi:// link sometimes fail when scanning works?
Some UPI apps decline a person-to-person payment opened from a tapped link, citing their risk policy, while the same details scanned as a QR code go through. Share the QR code first. Keep the link as a backup, or ask the payer to type your UPI ID.
Can I fix the amount?
Yes. Fill in Amount and the payer’s app opens with that amount filled in; leave it empty and they type any amount. Whether the payer can change a filled-in amount depends on their app, so always check the amount you received.
Does ViralDM take a cut of the payment?
No. The money goes from the payer’s bank to yours over UPI; ViralDM is not in the path. Inside ViralDM the same idea works in Instagram DMs: a UPI QR and Pay button sent automatically, and the payment screenshot confirmed by you.
