Overview
Auto DM means Instagram sends a private message for you, automatically, the moment someone comments a word you chose, replies to your story or messages you. ViralDM does it through Meta's official Instagram API — you log in on Instagram's own screen, ViralDM never sees your password — and the Free plan has no limit on DMs: one automation, running on your Reels, posts and story replies, for as long as you like. What you can auto DM
• Comments on a Reel or post: the commenter gets your DM, and optionally a short public reply such as "Sent you a DM". • Story replies: anyone who replies to your story gets an answer. • DMs with a keyword: someone writes "price" or "catalogue" and gets the reply at once. • Your DM link: one link (for your bio, ads or WhatsApp) that opens a chat with you and starts your keyword automation — they tap it, the DM arrives.
How to set it up (about 5 minutes)
- Switch your Instagram to a Professional account (Creator or Business) — free, in Instagram settings.
- Create a free ViralDM account and connect Instagram through Instagram's own login.
- Automations → new automation → choose the trigger (a comment on a post, a story reply or a DM keyword).
- Pick the Reel or post and the keyword, for example LINK.

Is auto DM safe for my account?
It is safe when it uses Meta's official API, which only lets a business message people who wrote to it first — a comment, a story reply or a DM. ViralDM is approved in Meta App Review and paces replies at up to 600 an hour per account, under Meta's limit of 750, so a viral Reel is answered in waves instead of a burst. Tools that ask for your Instagram password, or promise to DM people who never contacted you, are not using the official API.

Can I auto DM people who follow me?
Not through Meta's official API: Instagram does not tell any app when someone follows you, and a business may only message people who wrote to it first. Is there a limit on how many DMs go out?
No monthly cap on any ViralDM plan, the free one included. Replies are paced at up to 600 an hour per account so a viral Reel stays inside Meta's limit; anything above that waits for the next hour instead of being dropped.
Does it work on Reels, posts, stories and lives?
Reels and posts (a keyword in the comments), story replies and DM keywords, yes. Comments during an Instagram Live are supported too. You can also wire up a post that is only scheduled — the automation attaches itself when it publishes.
Is ViralDM Meta-verified?
