Connect ConvertKit (Kit) to ViralDM

Send people who give you their email to a ConvertKit (Kit) form, so they enter your sequences.

How it works

When an event carries an email, ViralDM adds that person to the ConvertKit form you chose, with their first name.

Events without an email are skipped.

This subscribes them to that form. Only use it for people who asked for your emails, for example with a keyword like "send me the guide by email".

Where to find it

Paste your API secret and form ID

ConvertKit (now called Kit) connects with two values from your account.

In Kit, click your account name (top right) → Settings → Developer (older ConvertKit screens: Settings → Advanced).
Under the V3 API Key section, copy the API Secret — not the API Key, and not a v4 key.

After connecting

Press 🧪 Test on the connector in ViralDM. It sends one test event, so you can see it arrive before a real lead does.
On the Connectors page, open the connector: it shows how many events were sent, when the last one went, how many failed, and the reason for the last failure.
You can also send a person to this connector from inside an automation: in the Flow Builder add the step "Send to a connector" and pick it. The step does nothing if the connector is not connected.
