A giveaway is the fastest way to grow followers, and the fastest way to lose trust — if people suspect the winner was decided in advance. Two things fix that: a clean way of counting entries, and proof of the draw.

You’re in! You are entry number 248. Winner announced Sunday 8pm.

What is handled for you
- Duplicates — someone can comment ten times and still hold one entry.
- Entry numbers — every entry gets a number, so people can see they are in.
- The draw — random, and recorded.
- A proof CSV — download every entry and publish it.
- The winner DM — sent automatically.
How to stop a giveaway being pointless
- Make the prize relevant. Give away an iPhone and you attract people who want an iPhone, not customers. Give away your own product or service.
- Keep one entry condition. "Follow, comment, tag three friends and share to your story" is four conditions, and half the people are gone.
- Publish the result. Post the proof after the draw. Next time entries double.
- Give the losers something too. A small coupon. That is the real value of a giveaway — a hundred people are now in your DMs, so talk to them.
After announcing the winner, run a Friend Loop at everyone who entered — the people who came will bring their friends too.
